Sprint to collaborate with KL traffic police on highway congestion

KUALA LUMPUR: Sistem Penyuraian Trafik KL Barat Sdn Bhd (Sprint), the concessionaire for Sprint Highway, in collaboration with Kuala Lumpur traffic police will be implementing trial traffic channelisation on Kerinchi Link and the Federal Highway for KL-bound traffic (near Mid Valley) from Dec 28 till Dec 31 from 5pm to 7.30pm. According to a statement from the company today, the trial was aimed at easing evening peak traffic congestion at the stretch.

"The channelisation will involve coning lanes to segregate traffic heading to Cheras/Seremban, Mid Valley and Kuala Lumpur. If the channelisation is found to be effective it will be made a permanent feature at this stretch of the Kerinchi Link and the Federal Highway," the statement said.

Motorists are requested to follow road signage erected during this trial period.
