Sabah police investigating alleged kidnap reports at Pulau Sebangkat

KOTA KINABALU, Mon -- Sabah police are investigating the validity of a kidnap report that alleged took place in Pulau Sebangkat near Semporna here today said Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
"I was informed by Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Noor Rashid Ibrahim that as of 11am, police were still carrying out investigations whether such an incident had taken place.

"The matter is still under investigation," said Musa who is also the state Internal Security Committee chairman, when asked to comment on rumours that a kidnap had taken place in Semporna.

So far, no information or confirmation has been released by the authorities, with regard to the incident. -- BERNAMA
