SHAH ALAM: Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah tonight warded off reporters' questions over allegations thrown against him by blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin.
Husni, who is Tambun member of Parliament and former Second Finance Minister, when met after he delivered a ceramah in Bukit Jelutong, declined to entertain any requests for comments despite having promised to speak to the media at the start of the off-record talk that started at 9.30pm.
"Sudahlah. Tak mahu... Tak payahlah cerita itu (Enough, I don't wish to...there's no need to talk about that)," he said while being escorted away by a bodyguard.
Husni, who spoke for more than an hour to around 150 people at the ceramah on the importance of good governance to the country, was asked, among others, about Raja Petra's allegation that Husni had relinquished his Cabinet post because he was not given the nod to become Finance Minister, among others.
During the ceramah organised by Pertubuhan Ikram Malaysia, Husni touched on various issues including 1Malaysia Development Bhd, why he left the government and economic reform.
The programme was moderated by Ikram secretary-general Nahar Md Nor.
