One Direction works its magic with Four

MEMBERS of the United Kingdom’s fastest rising and bestselling group this generation, One Direction, show off their songwriting skills in the new studio album, Four.

With a more stripped-down sound, the group — made up of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson — recently released a new single Ready To Run which features a pop-folk sound that packs a solid punch.

The same can be said for its other single Fireproof, which Payne and Tomlinson wrote togetherwithJohnRyan,JamieScottandJulian Bunetta.Thesong’sromanticdeclarationworks its magic here: “Nobody knows you (baby) the way I do/ And nobody loves you (baby) the way I do/ It’s been so long/ Maybe you are fireproof/ ‘cause nobody saves me the way you do”.

Fireproof was available for free download on its official website during a 24-hour give back session by the band.

Also, look out for Steal My Girl, which is as catchy as its 2013 single, Best Song Ever.

Artiste Ed Sheeran and McFly members Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter teamed up with the band to write the songs.

To give the album that “extra edge” in producing a more mature sound, the group worked with singers John Legend and Emeli Sande and producer Naughty Boy.

The album is likely to sit well with the group’s already expanding fan base.

As for the non-fans, the album is hard to dislike.

Give it a try and you will find yourself tapping your feet to the catchy and fun beats.
