Sime Darby's Elmina Interchange opens for public

SUNGAI BULOH: Sime Darby Property Bhd’s Elimina Interchange, located at RM27 billion City of Elmina, has officially opened for public access.

Chief operating officer Datuk Wan Hashimi Albakri Wan Ahmad Amin Jaffri said apart from being self-sustainable and positioned in strategic locations, one of the things that reinforces the strength of its townships is the new connectivity which costs about RM66 million.

“It serves as a catalyst for growth of our townships and communities, elevating our value proposition,” he said at the launch of the interchange here.

Its townships at City of Elmina, although only made up about 30 per cent progress of the total 5,000-acre development has secured about 95 per cent take-up rate so far, added Hashimi.

Hashimi said the interchange will also provide the City of Elmina residents and Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE) users with enhanced accessibility to various areas in the city and surrounding locations.

“We believe that this is something that would benefit the community, especially from Denai Alam and Bukit Subang because currently the way out is through Denai Alam Interchange. With the new interchange, we could help disperse the traffic,” he said.

Sime Darby Property constructed new roads connecting the townships of Denai Alam and Bukit Subang to Elmina West at the City of Elmina leading to the interchange and subsequently the GCE, at a cost of about RM22 million.

The developer also invested RM44 million in roads connecting Subang Bestari to the GCE via the Elmina East township.

City of Elmina, which includes the Denai Alam, Bukit Subang, Elmina East and Elmina West townships, is a themed township development with an estimated gross development value of RM27 billion.

Upcoming launches at the City of Elmina this year include double storey link homes and semi-D residential units in Denai Alam and the second phase of Elmina Green double storey link homes in Elmina West.
