KUALA LUMPUR: Beauarti, a maker of halal Korean skin care, is on expansion drive and will open two more outlets in Johor Bahru and Terengganu soon to serve its growing customers.
Getthiss (M) Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datin Seri Norja Khairayarani Amin said the product has about 21,000 social media followers and is growing by the day.
"We officially started the business in September 2017 and we have consistently roped in more than 1,000 consumers monthly," Norja told NST Business in a statement recently.
Getthiss is the sole distributor for Beauarti and the company currently has outlets in Shah Alam, Cheras, Seremban, Kota Bharu, Georgetown, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
The product is manufactured and produced by Korean-based C&B Global & C&B Cosmetic which is one of Korea's top three beauty cosmetic manufacturers.
Norja said Beauarti is halal certified by Jabatan Kemajuan Islam and adheres to one of the most strict certifications in the world.
"The product has huge potential riding on the Korean beauty industry which has been a global success, especially in Malaysia, thanks to the K-pop explosion and Korean television dramas.
Norja said Malaysia's skin care product market is very competitive, of which for Korean products itself there are more than hundreds to choose from.
"However, we do not see any specific product that’s an apple to apple’ comparison to our product range.”
She added that Beauarti is also Ecocert certified which is one of the best known certifications in the organic industry.
In order to get this certification, over 10 per cent of organic components and over 95 per cent of natural ingredients should be contained in Beauarti and chemical composition should not be used at all.
"The factory in Korea has a total of about 40 acres of land where we do our own organic farming for most of the main ingredients. We believe by sharing good products and enriching experience will bring positive results," she said.
