KUALA LUMPUR: Dagang NeXchange Bhd, through subsidiary company Innovation Associates Consulting Sdn Bhd (iAC), has launched a cloud-based accounting system developed on the Standard Accounting System for Government Agencies (SAGA).
Called MySAGA, the system is jointly developed between iAC and UPSI Holdings Sdn Bhd and targeted at government agencies including local councils.
DNeX said MySAGA is developed based on SAGA, and offers end-to-end financial management features.
The system uses a single data-entry concept enabling each transaction performed to cover all related accounts, it added.
“It has a user-friendly interface allowing ease of use for accounting and audit users who are also able to generate reports accurately and fast.
“Moreover, the system can also be integrated with other application systems hence reducing data discrepancy issues,” the firm said in a statement.
Developed as a cloud-based system, MySAGA can be used anywhere anytime in a secure environment using Digicert and SSL controls, it added.
DNeX executive deputy chairman said Datuk Samsul Husin said the firm believes MySAGA will contribute in efforts towards enriching the country's digital economy with a homegrown accounting system leveraging on local talents.
"MySAGA is another feat of our continuous efforts to grow solutions under the Dagang Net Digital Platform initiative, which is aimed to provide end-to-end, innovative services to help customers be more efficient,” he said.
iAC is the contractor and information and communications technology maintenance provider of the integrated government financial & management system, the accrual accounting system of the Accountant General's Department Malaysia.
