Bursa Malaysia opens easier

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia opened lower today as it tracks the mixed overnight performance of Wall Street, and digests the European Central Bank's announcement that it is pumping an additional €600 billion (US$676 billion) to further stimulate its economy, said dealers.

At 9.07am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) eased 4.32 points to 1,557.52 from Thursday's close of 1,561.84.

The index opened 0.67 of-a-point weaker at 1,561.17. - BERNAMA
