KUALA LUMPUR: The surging rise of advanced technologies has unlocked new modes of interactivity and immersivity for Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd through X-Reality (XR) technology.
XR is the combination of augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) technology.
Serba Dinamik said the company was quick to incorporate internet technology (IT) as part of its core business and expertise since the arrival of Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0) where engineering services have become more frequently intertwined with IT solutions.
"Therefore, even before Covid-19 became a global outbreak, Serba Dinamik's subsidiary Serba Dinamik IT Solutions Sdn Bhd (SDIT) had been deploying XR technology globally," it said.
SDIT, through the corporate partnership with Microsoft, is tapping into the MR innovation rapidly thus producing key products such as oil and gas technical training in XR.
Serba Dinamik said by breaking the physical boundary limitation of conventional equipment training such as the limited time to perform hands-on practice, MR technology enabled users to perform unlimited interaction and manipulation on equipment components to the very details.
On top of that, it said this method of training was available in multiplayer mode where multiple users can interact on the equipment together and it is recordable to achieve digitalisation of knowledge and experience.
"Therefore, companies can maintain their knowledge index and future trainees can now tap into past training sessions for further input," it said.
Serba Dinamik said SDIT had also developed VR technology for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) training such as working at height, confined space, rigging and slinging.
In these trainings, users conduct all the safety in hands-on manner compared to conventional reading, listening or watching methods.
"As we embrace the 'new normal', SDIT has developed virtual exhibitions that go beyond physical limitations, allowing 24/7 access to a large virtual crowd at their fingertips.
"D-Virtual Expo (DVE) by SDIT is suitable to run a highly immersive virtual conference, exhibition, mall, product launches and more. Compatible with VR, users can experience a 360-degree view of the mall to give the enhanced excitement of participating in online events," it said.
In ensuring awareness towards frontier technology capability and forming the culture of innovation, Serba Dinamik said SDIT was bringing frontier technology such as XR directly to the hands of the public in the form of entertainment.
It said D-Virtual Park (DVP) was a virtual reality and hologram theme park by SDIT that served as the main platform for this technology transfer.
"Currently available in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak and EVO Mall Bangi in Selangor, each DVP offers a wide range of exhilarating rides in VR.
"In DVP Kota Samarahan, SDIT also provides D-Arena Esports as an Esport facility and development hub along with Innovation Lab for startups," it said.
Following the development of Innovation Lab in Kota Samarahan, Serba Dinamik said SDIT aimed to further enhance the startup incubation efforts to a more global scale.
CocoonX is the recent development by SDIT as a platform to collaborate, incubate and accelerate startups.
"Tapping into the Serba Dinamik global ecosystem of Stanford AI Lab partnership, Chennai Innovation Hub and access to global technology partnership network, CocoonX provides the opportunity for startups to propel themselves into maturity at a swift rate," it said.
