KUALA LUMPUR: Haily Group Bhd's subsidiary, Haily Construction Sdn Bhd has bagged a RM23.7 million contract from Factor Synergy Sdn Bhd for the construction of a residential project in Kluang, Johor.
In an exchange filing today, Haily Group said the award involves the execution and completion of 66 units of double-storey terraced housing measuring 22 ft x 75ft, a security guardhouse, a double-chamber Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) sub-station, an entrance gateway to the project.
It also includes the construction of a notice board for phase I of the project and other infrastructural works that services phase II.
Haily Group said the project is scheduled to commence on November 1, 2021, and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2023.
Haily Group executive director See Tin Hai said the securing of the latest project was another testament to Haily Construction's capability in executing construction projects as a Grade G7 contractor with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
"This achievement bodes well for the Haily Group of companies' prospects. This latest award shall increase the value of our projects which now amounts to a total of RM528.65 million, involving 21 building construction projects and two ongoing civil engineering-related construction projects," he said in a separate statement today.
He said the latest contract shall keep the company busy for the next 18 months and would likely contribute immensely to the Haily Group's earnings and net assets for the financial year ending December 31, 2022, and 2023.
See, who is also the founder of the Haily Group, said the company had completed a total of 66 building construction projects with a total contract value of RM1.32 billion since 2008.
He said the government's announcement to rejuvenate the local property sector shall continue to create more activities for the construction industry.
