KUALA LUMPUR: Pegasus Aqua Sdn Bhd (PASB), a home-grown health and wellness company, has officially launched its molecular resonance effect technology (MRET) water activator in Malaysia and the Southeast Asia region.
PASB's MRET water activator is currently the only device authorised in Southeast Asia to utilise the patented molecular resonance effect technology that changes the molecular bonds of water molecules to be better absorbed by cells in the human body.
MRET-activated water has been shown to provide healing and rejuvenation benefits through enhanced hydration.
PASB founder and chief executive officer Lim Keong Han said his late grandfather and founder of Genting Group, Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, was the one who introduced the healing and rejuvenating benefits of MRET-activated water to the family.
"Inspired by his positive testimonials and encouraged by the potential growth of the health and wellness market in Malaysia and across the world, we decided the timing is ideal for expanding this device in the region," he said in a statement today.
MRET was discovered 20 years ago by Russian inventor and scientist Dr Igor Smirnov and his research team.
Since then, MRET-activated water has gained popularity in key markets like the United States, Japan, and Europe.
PASB aims to market this unique technology in the high-growth Southeast Asian market by becoming the current and exclusive distributor for MRET water activator in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
According to ResearchAndMarkets.com, the global health and wellness market reached a value of US$3.3 trillion (RM14.54 trillion) in 2021 and is expected to reach US$4.3 trillion (RM18.94 trillion) by 2027, growing at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.2 per cent during 2022–2027.
"PASB intends to leverage the growing affluence in the Southeast Asia region and the high demand for quality and innovative health and wellness products to carve a strong niche for our MRET water activator and achieve our revenue target of over RM20 million in the next two to three years," Lim said.
Elaborating further on the device, Dr Smirnov said the MRET water activator is a water purifier that changes the bond angle of H20 from 104.5° to 114.5°.
"Our studies have shown that the benefits of consuming MRET activated water include enhanced hydration, improved metabolism, strengthened morphology, increased immunity, healthier skin, and improved vitality."
"We are pleased to work with PASB to bring this health and wellness device to Malaysia and Southeast Asia. We are confident that Pegasus Aqua has the market insights and passion for making MRET water activator a leading health and wellness product to discerning consumers throughout the region," Dr Smirnov added.
Dr Smirnov has been awarded two United States patents for his MRET water activator, namely 'Method and Device for producing Activated Liquids and Methods of Use thereof'.
PASB's MRET water activator is equipped with certified advanced nanotech polymers and comes with the latest frequency generator motherboard developed and designed by Dr Smirnov.
Each device comes with a high-power, high-capacity rechargeable li-ion battery designed to ensure ultra-long life whilst giving the maximum effective activating signal strength during each use.
PASB's MRET water activator has a recommended retail price of RM4,500 per unit.
