KUALA LUMPUR: Reservoir Link Energy Bhd's subsidiary PT EnviroTech Akva Indonesia has signed an agreement with PT Unilever Oleochemical Indonesia to build a new wastewater treatment plant in North Sumatra.
The company said the agreement was for 10 years starting from the date of commercial operations.
"Under the scope of the agreement, Reservoir Link will deploy a 'build, own, operate and maintain' model," it said.
Reservoir Link said it would be appointed to receive, treat and discharge all wastewater to the facility, as well as operating and maintaining the entire system.
"The new waste water treatment plant will be integrated with the current existing plant for the receipt and treatment of effluent inputs and discharge of effluent outputs," it said.
Reservoir Link executive director Thien Chiet Chai said this marked a new milestone for the company as it diversified its offerings along with expanding regional footprint into Indonesia.
Thien said the company saw immense potential from thevsegment.
It will allow the company to generate stable recurring income over the 10-year tenure.
"This will allow us to have better visibility over our future earnings.
"Looking ahead towards the future, we plan to continue looking into various business opportunities to continuously grow Reservoir Link and bring forth immense value to our valued stakeholders," he said.
