The Knights Award honours local and international personalities, companies

KUALA LUMPUR: The Knights Award 2023 has emphasised the importance of cross-industry and cross-border collaboration for maximum market exposure and joint success. 

With the theme of "Bond, Build & Bloom," this year's award aimed to foster a sense of unity and collaboration among entrepreneurs.   

It also served as a testament to the indomitable spirit of entrepreneurship and the limitless possibilities that lie ahead for those who dare to dream.   

By providing a platform to recognise outstanding achievements, the event encouraged a spirit of camaraderie and mutual growth among the winners themselves.

The Knights Award 2023 took place at The St. Regis Hotel here recently, celebrating outstanding achievements in various fields. 

Founded by the visionary entrepreneur Dr Zyro Wong, the ceremony was supported by the "Father of Malaysia's Economy" and Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) founder Tengku Razaleigh Tengku Mohd Hamzah, special advisor Tan Sri Ong Tee Keat, Council of Lords from the European Union (EU) region JJ Delgado, Council of Lords for Hong Kong Kelvin Chan and other Council of Lords delegates.

The event also featured other respected figures, business icons, local and international celebrities, and organisations from across Asia.

Celebrating excellence across diverse industries, the event recognised and honoured a total of 60 outstanding winners ranging from individuals to corporate companies, who have conquered countless challenges and emerged as true leaders in their respective fields. 

The Knights Award bestows three categories of award namely The Duke, The Earl and The Baron, upon those who are highly regarded for their significant contributions and achievements within their own sphere.  

The touchstone of each award is unique to commend the colourful credentials of every award winner. 

This year's event witnessed an expansion in scale, with the intention of reaching a wider audience across the Asian continent.  

Some of the noteworthy recipients included Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar, who received the Icon of Malaysia 2023 award, Datuk Seri A. Samad Said (The Nobel Laureate of All Time), Datuk Nicol David (The Most Inspiring Athlete of All Time), Prof Tan Sri Datuk Dr Ghauth Jasmon (The Top Academician of The Year), Rizal Nainy (The Top Corporate CEO of The Year), Dr Ricky Beh (The Top Entrepreneur of The Year) and Leng Yein (The Top Tourism Icon of The Year).
