KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB) has announced a total income distribution of 5.25 sen per unit for its fixed price fund, Amanah Saham Bumiputera 3 0 Didik (ASB 3 Didik).
The distribution benefits 325,026 unitholders who collectively own 7.73 billion units for the financial year ending June 30, 2024.
The total payout amounts to RM405.65 million.
Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) said the income distribution for ASB 3 Didik represents total returns of 5.25 per cent, surpassing its benchmark Maybank 12-month fixed deposit by 2.51 basis points.
"As of June 25, 2024, ASB 3 Didik recorded a net realised income of RM437.76 million. The income for the fund was derived from realised gains, dividends, and other revenue sources from both domestic and international investments.
"Equities remain the largest contributors to income, with domestic equities constituting 11.81 per cent of the total return and international equities accounting for 3.64 per cent of the overall portfolio," it said.
PNB attributed the fund's success in generating income and strong performance to the positive equity market trends in major markets, including Malaysia, and the global rise of generative artificial intelligence (AI).
"Through consistent evaluation of performance metrics and proactive risk oversight, the fund has consistently delivered attractive and competitive returns to its investors.
"The computation of income distribution for ASB 3 Didik is based on the average minimum monthly balance held throughout the financial year of the fund," it clarified.
The declared distribution will be automatically reinvested into unitholders' accounts.
Transactions for ASB 3 Didik at ASNB branches, agents, and all online channels, including internet banking, have been temporarily suspended from June 28-30 to facilitate the income distribution computation.
