KUALA LUMPUR: Microsoft today said issues affecting its Windows devices were identified to be from a third-party software platform's update.
A Microsoft spokesperson said the company acknowledged the problem and is expecting a resolution to it.
"We're aware of an issue affecting Windows devices due to an update from a third-party software platform. We anticipate a resolution is forthcoming," said the spokesperson.
The tech giant earlier today told AFP it was taking "mitigation actions" after service disruptions.
In a notice titled "Service Degradation", Microsoft said users "may be unable to access various Microsoft 365 apps and services".
Back home, Firefly and AirAsia said they were also affected by the worldwide IT disruption that affected workstations running on Windows operating systems.
A global cyber outage grounded flights, and hit media, financial, telecoms services.
