KUALA LUMPUR: Eversendai Corp Bhd has teamed up with Emirates Steel to develop the NEOM Trojena Ski Village in Saudi Arabia.
The NEOM Trojena Ski Village project is part of the US$1.5 trillion NEOM mega project, a futuristic desert development on the Red Sea coast.
Under the agreement, Emirates Steel, a key entity within the Emirates Steel Arkan Group (ESA) in Abu Dhabi, and one of the largest publicly traded steel and building materials manufacturers in the region, will supply premium steel beams for the Ski Village construction.
Narishnath Nathan, deputy group managing director of Eversendai, expressed pride in collaborating with Emirates Steel on the NEOM Trojena Ski Village.
He noted that this landmark project will showcase Eversendai's collective capabilities in delivering world-class steel construction solutions.
"This partnership highlights our commitment to pushing the boundaries of engineering and construction," he said in a stock exchange filing.
Saeed Alghafri, chief executive officer of Emirates Steel, expressed delight in partnering with Eversendai on this significant project, which is set to be a highlight of NEOM in Saudi Arabia.
He stated that Emirates Steel is committed to supplying benchmark sustainable steel solutions that meet the stringent demands of innovative construction projects.
