GHL files application to exit Bursa, takeover by NTT Data Japan Corp

KUALA LUMPUR: GHL Systems Bhd has applied to Bursa Malaysia Bhd to withdraw its listing status, with its shares to be suspended on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, 9am.

A filing with the exchange said the withdrawal is based on Paragraph 16.07 of Bursa Securities' main market listing requirements.

To recap, on July 4, GHL informed the exchange that NTT Data Japan Corporation (NTTD Japan) had received acceptances for 387.88 million shares in GHL, representing a 33.98 per cent stake.

This brings NTTD Japan's total equity interest in the payment services provider to 92.71 per cent, and it does not intend to maintain GHL's listing status.

At 2.35 pm, GHL shares were flat at RM1.06 per share, with 74,900 shares having changed hands.
