Emagene Life & TruDiagnostic in Malaysia's first biological age testing collaboration

KUALA LUMPUR: Emagene Life, Malaysia's functional medicine and longevity centre, has teamed up with TruDiagnostic and Professor Dr. Chee-Onn Leong from AGTC Genomics to enhance anti-aging and longevity services in Malaysia and across Asia.

"The partnership employs innovative and scientifically-backed approaches to address issues of ageing and lifespan, offering health plans supported by highly qualified medical professionals.

"Emagene Life distinguishes itself as the only centre adhering to functional medicine principles, with doctors fully trained by the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM)," Emagene Life said.

Emagene Life founder and medical director Dr. Shirley Koeh said it is committed to the principle that medical care should focus on addressing the root causes of poor health and suboptimal performance by thoroughly examining genetic, biological and lifestyle factors.

"Building a healthy and strong body to prevent diseases is key. Functional medicine holds the future to progress beyond mere treatment and suppression of diseases," she added.

Notably, two of the three certified functional medicine doctors in Malaysia are from Emagene Life.

Dr. Koeh is one of IFM-certified doctors at Emagene Life, alongside Dr. Irdina Aminuddin, the first Malaysian recipient of a full scholarship from the organisation.

For TruDiagnostic, some of its renowned clientele count celebrity socialite Kim Kardashian and sister Khloe, who together with their mum Kris, have gone on to undertake the biological ageing test.

TruDiagnostic head of research and development Ryan Smith said expanding access to biological age and longevity testing can provide a comprehensive approach to ageing and help create optimised health plans to improve longevity.

"This collaboration is a valuable addition to our advanced services, including bio-restorative therapy and personalised vitamins and supplements tailored to each patient's needs," he said.
