MARKET PULSE PM AUG 7, 2024 [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: News on stock, crypto and ringgit moves.

The 30-stock key index closed slightly below 1,600 mark as bargain hunting continued after Monday's panic sell-offs. 

FBM KLCI was up 1 per cent to close at 1,591.

Cape EMS was one of the most actively traded stocks after rebounding from a significant decline since mid-July. 

Its group CEO sold 112 million shares today, cutting her stake to 27 per cent. 

The ringgit was slightly lower against the dollar at 4.4860.

Bitcoin traded slightly higher at RM259,253, Ethereum rose to eleven RM11,400 and Solana traded at RM693.
