KUALA LUMPUR: Hata, Malaysia's latest digital asset exchange (DAX), has expanded its offerings by adding three new digital assets namely Worldcoin, Cosmos and Polkadot.
Hata is the first regulated Malaysian DAX to add Worldcoin onto its platform.
Worldcoin is a digital identification platform that provides individuals with a secure and convenient way to verify their human identity, distinguishing them from bots and AI algorithms.
Developed by Tools for Humanity, co-founded by Sam Altman, the creator of ChatGPT, Worldcoin uses cryptographic and blockchain tools to support its digital passport system and native asset.
Cosmos enables developers to easily build and deploy new blockchain applications while improving the performance and security of existing blockchain networks.
Its cryptocurrency, Atom, is used for transaction processing and network security.
Polkadot is a protocol that links different blockchains, enabling the transfer of value and data between networks that were previously incompatible, like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Hata chief executive officer David Low said with the Securities Commission's approval of Worldcoin on May 8, the company is proud to be the first regulated DAX in Malaysia to launch trading of the digital asset.
"This allows Malaysians to explore and diversify their digital asset portfolios in a regulated environment.
"Worldcoin, Cosmos, and Polkadot are also available on its global platform, which serves users worldwide and is licensed by the Labuan Financial Services Authority," said Low.
With the new additions, Hata now lists 14 cryptocurrencies on its Malaysian platform making it the exchange with the largest number of cryptocurrencies available for trading and investing in Malaysia.
