SP Setia was the market's most actively traded counter today, after posting a more than six-fold jump in net profit for the second quarter of financial year 2024.
It was also one of its top losers, falling more than 12 per cent to a low of RM1.33 in early trade.
The key 30-stock index opened higher before profit-taking pushed it into negative territory, despite rate-cut bets all but confirmed with tamer US inflation.
The FBM KLCI is likely to trend between 1,600 and 1,620 points today.
In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin was trading at RM263,057.
Meanwhile, Ethereum gradually rose to RM11,866. Solana reached RM646.
