Mohd Idzwan emerges as key shareholder of Handal Energy

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Mohd Idzwan Izuddin Ab Rahman has acquired a significant stake in Handal Energy Bhd, establishing himself as a key shareholder. 

Currently, Mohd Idzwan serves as the director of CMDH Capital Sdn Bhd and chairman of Invesco Capital Management Bhd.

He is also the executive director of Bintai Kinden Corporation Bhd, having been appointed as an independent non-executive director on Jan 10, 2022, and later redesignated as an executive director on May 15, 2023.

He holds two licences from the Securities Commission Malaysia: the Capital Market Service License (Module 9) and the Capital Market Representative's Service Licence (Module 10).

Mohd Idzwan began his career in the financial industry with CIMB Bank Bhd as a regional vice president in 2009, where he played a key role in various regional projects. 

In 2012, he was appointed chief marketing officer at Malaysia Building Society Bank before joining McKinsey & Co as a business consultant in 2014. 

His extensive experience includes contributing to the largest Islamic merger in Southeast Asia and working on fintech and e-commerce projects with CIMB and Hong Leong Bank Bhd where he later served as director of strategy.

Handal Energy chairman Muhamad Arafat Varisai Mahamad said the company is pleased to welcome Mohd Idzwan as a major shareholder.
