KUALA LUMPUR: MyEG Services Bhd's joint venture company MYEG Philippines Inc has partnered with the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) to integrate its payment system into the latter's online payment service platform.
NHMFC is a government agency responsible for expanding access to affordable housing finance in the Philippines.
MyEG Philippines and NHFMC signed a memorandum of agreement on Oct 22, formalising the expansion of payment channels available to the latter's borrowers by an additional 100,000 options.
The expanded payment options were soft-launched on the NHMFC online payment system following the signing and will be made available to the public starting Nov 4.
"This partnership marks a significant step forward in the digitisation of government services, reinforcing the shared commitment of MYEG Philippines and NHMFC to enhancing the ease of doing business in the country.
"By expanding payment channels, this collaboration will result in more convenient and efficient transactions, benefiting thousands of NHMFC clients nationwide," MyEG said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.
MyEG Philippines provides e-payment and e-government services for major government agencies in the country and handles over 150,000 daily transactions servicing Filipinos.
It has more than 100,000 payment channels and points of sale location across the Philippines.
