FGV's unit sued for RM90.8m for breach of delivery, supply agreement

KUALA LUMPUR: FGV Holdings Bhd's indirect subsidiary, FGV Bulkers Sdn Bhd (FGVB) is being sued for RM90.8 million for breach of palm kernel shells (PKS) supply and delivery agreement.

FGV in a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd said the suit was filed by South Asian International Distribution Sdn Bhd (SAID).

Among SAID's claims include a declaration that any agreement (whether expressly or impliedly) made by SAID to the increase of price of PKS within a six-month period is null and void.

The case management has been fixed on Nov 20, 2024.

FGV said FGVB is currently seeking legal advice and will make further announcement on any material development in the suit in due course.

FGV  does not expect any material operational and financial impact to FGVB and FGV from the suit for thecurrent financial year ending Dec 31, 2024.

FGV's share price was unchanged at RM1.14 a share earlier.
