Beverly Group partners two others for automated parking system at Milla Residence

KUALA LUMPUR: Beverly Group has partnered with Parktech Solutions and Samjung Tech to introduce an automated car parking system (ACPS) at Milla Residence, Quartz Wangsa Maju. Developed by South Korean leader Samjung Tech, the system is set to become one of the largest ACPS installations in Asean.

This system will feature 2,358 parking bays and 21 car lifts, enhancing both convenience and sustainability for Milla Residence residents.

Natural Resources and Environment Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said this collaboration is a meaningful step toward Malaysia's sustainability goals.

"As we advance carbon reduction and eco-friendly urban developments, initiatives like these set an inspiring example of how technology can contribute to a greener, healthier living environment," Nik Nazmi said at the signing ceremony of ACPS here, today.

As the first of its kind in the region, the ACPS is designed to revolutionise the urban parking experience by streamlining parking operations and reducing carbon emissions, aligning with Malaysia's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Green Building Index (GBI) goals.

Beverly Group chief executive officer Derick Lim said by significantly cutting the time and fuel spent on traditional parking searches, the system offers an environmentally friendly solution, minimising idling emissions by up to 30 per cent and reducing land usage through its vertical design.

He added that a key highlight is the ACPS technology by Samjung Tech, which is designed to enhance the user experience with minimal human intervention.

"Residents can leave their cars in the automated lift and relax in our beautifully designed lounge while our precision machinery handles the parking. "This system, with 2,358 parking spaces and 21 car lifts, is one of the largest and most advanced in Asean," he said.

In addition, Samjung Tech president and chief executive officer Choi Jong Wan said the company's system for Milla Residence is customised to balance modernity with reliability.

Choi said the company is doubling test runs to ensure faultless initial operations, with its  engineers on-site post-commissioning to fine-tune performance.

"Above all, our dedicated customer satisfaction team in Malaysia will be there monthly to conduct proactive inspections and keep everything running seamlessly, giving residents complete peace of mind," he added.

Designed with user convenience at its core, ACPS technology allows Milla residents and visitors to simply park at designated entry points on the ground level, turn off the engine, and walk away, leaving the automated system to handle vehicle storage and retrieval.

To further encourage eco-friendly living, Beverly Group is also working with Maybank on green home financing for Milla Residence.

This financing option covers up to 95 per cent of the home's purchase price, with an additional five per cent allocated for associated costs like credit insurance, takaful, legal fees, valuation, and stamp duty.
