PUNB secures RM22.15mil worth of sales, projects from MIHAS 2024 Dubai

KUALA LUMPUR: Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Bhd (PUNB) has secured potential sales and projects worth RM22.15 million from its trade mission to the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2024 in Dubai recently.

PUNB in a statement said the significant potential leads and sales generated involved six participating Bumiputera entrepreneurs.

The companies represent a diverse range of sectors including food and beverage, cosmetics and personal care, and health and wellness.

General manager business division Razlan Bachik said MIHAS@Dubai 2024 provided an invaluable platform for PUNB beneficiaries to showcase their products and services to a global audience.

He said that the event facilitated networking opportunities, fostered potential partnerships, and generated substantial commercial interest."

MIHAS@Dubai has opened doors to new markets and opportunities for the Bumiputera entrepreneurs, demonstrating the effectiveness of PUNB's support programs in equipping them to thrive internationally.

"These promising leads will not only drive business growth but also inspireother Bumiputera businesses to explore global expansion," he said.

Razlan said that in addition to the immediate outcomes, more than 10 potential companies have been identified for new financing applications, further expanding the company's reach and impact within the Bumiputera business community.

He added that PUNB remains dedicated to supporting Bumiputera entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses domestically and internationally.

PUNB will continue to provide guidance and resources, including workshops and training, mentorship programs, and market access support, to help these entrepreneurs capitalise on the leads generated at any events and penetrate new markets.

Furthermore, it is actively exploring potential collaborations with international partners, including trade organisations and government agencies, to enhance the development of its beneficiary companies beyond the Middle East region, paving the way for even greater global reach and success.
