KUALA LUMPUR: Sapura Resources Bhd reported a net loss of RM8.6 million for the third quarter of 2024 (3Q24), slightly higher than the RM8.2 million loss recorded in the same period last year.
The loss was attributed to the recognition of interest on redeemable convertible secured loan stocks (RCSLS) netted off against higher revenue contributed mainly from increase in occupancy rate in Permata Sapura.
Sapura Resources' revenue surged 48.5 per cent to RM20.2 million from RM13.5 million in the corresponding quarter.
Sapura Resources said its property and business aviation divisions will remain key contributors to its revenue.
"In the meantime, the group will continuously adapt to the changing conditions to ensure long-term sustainability.
"The completion of the recent capital raising exercise has strengthened the group's balance sheet and has given the group the ability to enhance its current businesses as well as explore new opportunities," it added.
