KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia continued its downward trend today as investors stayed on the sidelines ahead of interest rate cues from the United States (US) Federal Reserve.
The benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI was down 1.9 points or 0.12 per cent to 1,604.95 points.
It opened at 1,605.26 points.
The broader market was also negative with 411 losers leading 276 gainers. 446 counters were unchanged.
Among the actives, ACE-Market debutant, Vanzo Holdings Bhd rose 23.33 per cent, or 3.5 sen to 18.5 sen with 108.09 million shares traded, while Zen Tech International Bhd fell half sen to five sen at the early trade.
On the decliners, Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd fell 22 sen to RM99, Hong Leong Bank Bhd lost 18 sen to RM20.26, Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd declined 12 sen to RM21.54 and Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhdl gave up 10 sen to RM4.93.Ends
