KUALA LUMPUR: Jati Tinggi Group Bhd, via wholly-owned Jati Tinggi Holding Sdn Bhd, will install photovoltaic (PV) solar panel systems at Public Bank Bhd branches in a project valued at around RM14.88 million.

The company signed a memorandum of understanding with Public Bank to implement the solar panel systems across 135 branches, encompassing 333 properties.

The installation is scheduled to begin in early 2025, with completion expected within three years.

"This project will further accelerate Public Bank's efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030, with a broader target of net zero emissions by 2050, while strengthening its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives as a whole.

"This initiative underscores both Public Bank and Jati Tinggi's long-term strategy to be at the forefront of sustainable development in Malaysia," it said.
