New premium dark leather interior for Honda HR-V

KUALA LUMPUR: The Honda HR-V has been one of the most sought-after crossover in Malaysia with more than 91,000 unit sold (as of May 2020), and Honda Malaysia has given the car constant updates to make it stay competitive.

The latest one is the introduction of a new classy dark brown leather interior for the HR-V RS, and this is an addition to the existing black leather interior trim.

This new interior colour is upholstering the centre console, front panel, front and rear seats, as well as door panel lining.

It is also introduced exclusively for the Malaysian market and is now available for bookings at 101 Honda authorised dealers nationwide.

Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Mr Toichi Ishiyama said: "We are delighted to provide yet another selection of interior styling to suit the differing personalities of our discerning customers - the new classy dark brown leather interior.

"We are committed to continuously improve our product offerings as we listen to customers' feedback and market demand."

Under the hood of the HR-V RS is the familiar 1.8-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine that makes 142PS and 172Nm of torque.

Power is transferred to the front wheels through an Earth Dream continuously variable transmission (CVT).

For a more exciting driving feel, the HR-V gains a variable gear ratio steering system that adjusts the rate according to the vehicle speed.

Other features for the HR-V includes a 7-inch display audio system, paddle-shifters, Honda LaneWatch, as well as standard safety features comprised of six airbags, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Automatic Brake Hold (ABH), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill-Start Assist (HAS) and rear seat ISOFIX.

The part is, there is no price change to the existing HR-V RS, which means that the new HR-V with dark brown leather is priced at RM118,581 (after the sales tax exemption).

Three colours available - Passion Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and White Orchid Pearl.
