SUBANG JAYA: Reaching out to a new generation of consumers, HMD Global today introduced its first range of Nokia smartphones, comprising the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3, alongside the iconic new Nokia 3310.
Unveiled earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the three Nokia smartphones feature the latest pure Android operating system for a seamless experience.
Nokia 3 packs 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM. The screen size is 5-inches with an HD resolution powered by a MediaTek MTK6737 processor. It is also equipped with 8MP back and front cameras with f/2.0 aperture and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Nokia 5 features a slightly bigger 5.2-inch HD screen and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430. The RAM and storage are the same as with the Nokia 3 – 2GB and 16GB respectively. The rear camera gets a bump to 13MP, while the front camera remains at 8MP, both with f/2.0. The phone runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
The premium of the three, Nokia 6, features a pretty solid specs sheet. It boasts a 5.5-inch FHD display and an upgrade of 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. The rear camera is further bumped up to 16MP, but the front camera remains unchanged at 8MP. The software and CPU are the same as with the Nokia 5.
The Nokia 6 retails for RM999, the Nokia 5 for RM799, and the Nokia 3 for a reasonable price of RM599, all inclusive of GST.
The Nokia 3 will be available at all Nokia retail stores nationwide from mid-June, while the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 will be available from the end of June.
The much-anticipated “blast from the past”, the Nokia 3310, will be available from June onwards, with a price tag of only RM239.
