#TECH: JBL back in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: With over 70 years, JBL, a lifestyle audio brand under Harman International (Harman.com), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, has announced its brand relaunch in Malaysia during a virtual event.

JBL Malaysia's Business development manager, Mitchell Wong who addressed the attendees, said it is time for JBL to be back in Malaysia especially with the current demand on audio devices especially in the gaming industry.

"JBL is all about pushing the boundaries for premium audio experience and products that address the needs of our customers. This is what we do best, amplifying music's ability to make people feel good, feel connected, and make life infinitely more entertaining.

"We have seen the emergence of discerning audiophiles and the growth of the online gaming market in Malaysia, therefore we are very confident that this relaunch is timely for us," said.

During its first virtual event in Malaysia to reintroduce the brand, JBL also introduced a full range of lifestyle audio products segments from headphones, Bluetooth speakers, Party Box series, JBL Quantum Gaming series, sound bars and wireless earphones.

 

In addition to the product unveil, JBL Malaysia also announced new partnerships with local brands such as Tropicana Corporation Berhad, Babel, and Mustang Dance Academy under the new campaign initiative #JBLPeople, aiming to build a JBL community in Malaysia to give Malaysians the opportunity to experience JBL products through various avenues.

Along with other lifestyle audio devices, JBL also announced the Quantum series for gaming. Comprising of seven choices of headphones and JBL Quantum Duo PC gaming speaker, the range features 3D sound with JBL QuantumSurround algorithms and JBL QuantumENGINE, a software for immersive surround sound which enables PC gamers to adjust EQ, sound effects, mic modes and RGB too.

JBL also announced a partnership with ESL for ESL Mobile Open: League of Legends: Wild Rift SEA Icon Series Malaysia Summer Season 2021.

"We are beyond excited for the opportunity to work with JBL and bring its award-winning audio to all Malaysians. In a myriad of ways, the wide variety of JBL products will elevate consumers' experience in music listening, movie watching, gaming and gatherings with their loved ones," said Director of Global Best United's managing director, Henry Yap. The virtual event was also attended by Harman International's Vice president and general manager, lifestyle audio division for Asia Pacific, Grace Koh.
