#TECH: Fujifilm Malaysia partners with Sabah FC

SHAH ALAM: Fujifilm Malaysia has inked an agreement with Sabah Football Club (Sabah FC) to be the club's official imaging partner.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be a pathway for further collaborations between Fujifilm Malaysia and the football club through areas like the Fujifilm X-Series cameras which will cater to the diverse photographic needs of professional photographers and videographers in both stills and videos in various categories which also includes sports photography.

The ceremony, graced by representatives from both Fujifilm Malaysia and Sabah FC, witnessed the start of an agreement that will involve sponsorships, advertising and promotional opportunities between both the establishments.

Fujifilm Malaysia managing director signatory for the company, Kensuke Aragane, said, "It was a great and momentous moment for Fujifilm Malaysia to sign the MoU with Sabah FC.

"At Fujifilm, we 'Never Stop' working towards improvising the future. We have constantly overcome the waves of digitization with the technologies we have built and improved through our photographic business. Apart from that, we have consistently given the world cutting-edge technologies, products and services that will contribute to creating a better future for the younger generation," he said.

Sabah FC is a Malaysian professional football club owned by Sabah Football Club Sdn Bhd. The football club competes in Malaysia's football leagues representing Sabah. They currently compete in Malaysia's top division professional football league, the Malaysia Super League. Besides, the team's home matches are played at the 35,000 capacity Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu, the capital city of Sabah.

Sabah FC signee and chief executive officer, Marzuki Nasir said, "This MoU is very significant to both Sabah FC and Fujifilm Malaysia as it broadens the awareness of the services, products and experience these organisations provide for the public including the fans and followers of Malaysian football. Besides increasing revenue, photographers especially those who take up photography as their professional careers, will be given a chance to understand the capabilities of mirrorless cameras especially in the world of sports photography."
