Boasting a new S9 SiP (System in Package), this new rugged smartwatch redefines what a smartwatch can do.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is driven by a custom-designed Apple silicon, the S9 SiP (System in Package).
This enable the new double tap gesture and on-device Siri functionality, enabling users to access and log health data securely and privately.
The double tap feature gives users of Apple Watch Ultra 2 a new level of user experience. With a simple tap of the index finger and thumb of your watch hand, users can now control their Apple Watch without even touching the display.

Designed to withstand the most demanding conditions, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 has undergone rigorous testing across a vast altitude range, making it suitable for use from 500 meters below sea level to heights of 9,000 meters. This broad altitude range ensures that the watch can accompany users on their lowest valley expeditions and highest peak conquests.
It now supports recreational scuba diving to depths of up to 40 meters, as well as freediving.
Better voice command
For the first time, Siri requests can be processed on the device itself, eliminating the need for internet connectivity for certain commands. This results in quicker and more reliable responses. Siri can also access data from the Health app, making it a valuable tool for health and fitness-related queries, such as tracking sleep hours, activity progress, or even logging health data like weight, body temperature, and medications taken.
Also, with the second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, Precision Finding takes this feature to new heights. It provides precise distance and directional guidance, along with visual, haptic, and audio cues, ensuring you can locate your iPhone even when it's tucked away in an unfamiliar room or gear bag.
watchOS 10
Apple Watch Ultra 2 comes equipped with the latest watchOS 10, an update that includes redesigned apps, the new Smart Stack for relevant widget display, and delightful new watch faces like Snoopy, Palette, Solar Analog, and Nike Globe. Night Mode automatically adjusts to ambient light conditions, while Bluetooth connectivity enhances the experience for cyclists, providing access to new metrics and workout views. The updated Compass app offers real-time elevation data and 3D waypoint views. Additionally, the watch supports mental health with state-of-mind logging in the Mindfulness app and measures time spent in daylight to help reduce the risk of myopia.
Carbon neutral models
Apple's commitment to sustainability shines through with select case and band combinations of the Apple Watch Ultra 2, Apple Watch SE, and the new Apple Watch Series 9 being designated as the company's first-ever carbon-neutral products.
As part of the Apple 2030 initiative, the carbon footprint of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 has been significantly reduced, with emissions offset through nature-based projects. Notably, the Apple Watch Ultra 2, when paired with an Alpine Loop or Trail Loop, features 95 per cent recycled titanium, a marked improvement over its predecessor.
Pricing and availability
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 will be available in a 49 mm variant, with carbon-neutral options when paired with the new Trail Loop or Alpine Loop bands.
Apple said it will hit the market soon at RM3,799.
