Dishonest Datuk cleans Che Ta of RM50,000

KUALA LUMPUR: Something smells off! Actress Rozita Che Wan revealed that she was cheated of money by a businessman with a Datuk title in a perfume deal gone sour last year.

Apparently, the same “Datuk” was alleged to have similarly swindled celebrity couple, Aeril Zafrel and Wawa Zainal, prior to this, in a deal that also involved the creation of a perfume line.

"I gave my trust but it turns out this person had bad intentions and cheated me out of RM50,000.”

“Just imagine how much of money this man has accumulated from tricking people. He surely can upgrade his luxury car, get a new wife and do all sorts of other things by carrying on with this kind of dishonest lifestyle,” said Rozita in a news report by BH Online.

"I eventually decided to just accept the fact. Let his life be troubled since he is giving trouble to others and hopefully he will change for the better,” said the actress when met at a press conference to announce her as umrah ambassador for Imtiyaz Travel & Tours.

The actress, fondly known as Che Ta, added that she did not want to blow the matter up since there was no official agreement made in black and white.

“Even though there wasn’t any formal agreement, there is still proof of payment.”

“But I didn’t want to make a big fuss of it and lodge a police report because it was my fault as well since I don’t have the necessary documents.”

“I’ve pleaded with him many times before but he ignored me. It’s alright, though. After all, the prayers of those who have been wronged are always answered,” she said.

During the event, it was also announced that Rozita, together with husband Zain Saidin and daughter Aaisyah Dhia Rana, would be travelling to Mecca in January with 20 other family members and relatives who are utilising the services of the travel agency.

The umrah programme with her is also open to fans and the public.
