KUALA LUMPUR: With record-breaking album sales and sold out concert tours, G-Dragon is currently one of the richest artistes in South Korea.
So it was no surprise that the rapper, singer and record producer could afford to buy a building costing approximately RM33.6 million (9 billion KRW) recently.
According to South Korean news outlet Dispatch, it is located in Cheongdam, Gangnam, which is considered as one of the most expensive areas in Seoul.
Based on a copy of the real estate registration, the leader of the top boyband BigBang had signed a sales contract last June and was officially registered as a landlord last month.
Built in 2015 and designed by architecture firm L'EAU design, the modern-looking building has six storeys with differing interiors for each floor and is around 11,000 square feet in size.
According to architecture portal ArchDaily, the building is known as “The March Rabbit” for its unique design inspired by the March Hare from the animated Disney classic Alice In Wonderland.
Additionally, G-Dragon, 31, also owns two luxurious apartment suites in Seongsu and Mapo, Seoul. They are estimated to cost RM12 million and RM4.8 million, respectively.
