#Showbiz: Don't give them something to talk about, says Aaron Aziz on social media trolls

KUALA LUMPUR: Celebrities should be careful when choosing what they post on social media to avoid controversies or unnecessary arguments among Netizens, said popular actor Datuk Aaron Aziz.

While it has become a norm for Netizens to scrutinise public figures on social media, he urged celebrities to not give them a reason to spark gossip.

“Some people just choose to leave negative comments because they’re attention seekers.

The Ombak Rindu actor expressed his disappointment when some quarters don’t care to respect other people’s feelings when voicing out their opinions.

“It’s almost as though they’re proud of themselves for doing that. What is their intention? To gain more followers?"

Aaron said he deals with social media trolls by blocking them.

“I usually block whoever leaves a negative comment but not before I respond with a sarcastic remark first.”

“We need to know our limits,” he added.
