KUALA LUMPUR: The recent wedding celebration of Chryseis Tan and Faliq Nasimuddin, the heirs to Berjaya Group and Naza Group, respectively, was nothing short of a fairytale.
To top the magical evening was live performances by English boyband Blue and Shane Filan of Westlife fame.
Based on Insta-stories posted by the wedding guests, the Irish singer-songwriter serenaded the couple and guests with some of Westlife’s biggest hits such as Swear It Again and My Love.
Held at the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), guests were also treated to his popular tune Beautiful In White, a song often played at weddings which has to date, gained over three million streams on Spotify.
Meanwhile, the boys from Blue took guests back to the early 2000s when they performed their song You Make Me Wanna for the married couple’s “first dance”.
Chryseis looked resplendent in an elegant dress designed by local designer Fizi Woo which she paired with a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes, while Faliq looked all dapper in a traditional baju Melayu.
Things kicked up a notch as the evening turned into a hyped-up party when band members, Simon Webbe, Duncan James, Lee Ryan, and Antony Cost performed their massive hit, All Rise.
The bride and bridegroom then switched into their “party dress” – Chryseis wore a short number and Faliq, a tuxedo.
The lovebirds tied the knot on Feb 2 in a private and intimate solemnisation reception at The Chateau, a luxury resort situated in Bukit Tinggi, attended by family members and close friends.
