KUALA LUMPUR: Superstar Mariah Carey, who is in the city for her concert tomorrow, posted a picture on Twitter of her children Moroccan and Monroe at the Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park today.
She captioned the photo with: “At the butterfly conservatory in Kuala Lumpur”.
The age-defying singer who recently released a new balled With You, also posted a short video of the children, whom she nicknamed “demkids” getting into the elevator in the city yesterday.
She asked her daughter Monroe: “Monroe where are we?”
To which her daughter, nicknamed Roe, replied: “Malaysia.”
“Say Kuala Lumpur..” Mariah said.
“Kuala Lumpur!!!” the children screamed in unison.
The singer, known for her inimitable five-octave vocal range, has previously released an album titled Butterfly in 1997 (her sixth) which spawned a hit ballad of the same name.
The self-style “the elusive chanteuse” is also known for wearing her custom-made trademark diamond-encrusted butterfly ring from Van Cleef & Arpels.
Mariah’s concert at Plenary Hall at the KL Convention Centre tomorrow night, marks her third visit to the country. She previously performed at Stadium Merdeka in 2014 for Me..I Am Mariah Tour and 2004 (Charmbracelet Tour).
Only limited premium tickets to the show are available.
