KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actress Maya Karin’s recent trip to the easternmost region of the Federal Territories has had her singing praise for a certain restaurant.
The 39-year-old artiste who was in Labuan recently, was dining at a Mamak restaurant there. And it made her day to find how clean the toilet at the premises was.
The Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam star had initially feared for the worse, after several encounters with “bad toilets” in the Klang Valley, but she was pleasantly surprised.
“Speaking of tandas, I was super impressed with one at this Mamak restaurant in Labuan. It’s so clean and furthermore, it’s got decor. Did not expect that,” tweeted Maya last Tuesday.
Maya’s tweet was a response to a Netizen, Dorothy R who asked her about the toilets there.
Maya Karin had earlier tweeted in praise of the ferry service between Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and Labuan.
“Very good la this ferry service from KK to Labuan. Take off on time, sampai pun on time. Almost to the minute, and tong sampah banyaknya. Bagus bagus.”
Maya has visited East Malaysia several times and even played a mermaid in the 2008 film Duyong set in Semporna, eastern Sabah.
