KUALA LUMPUR: After five years of being in showbusiness, singer-actress Elizabeth Tan is now a more confident person and more comfortable in the public sphere as well.
In a news report yesterday, the 25-year-old admitted that past experiences have also made her into a more mature person.
“I had especially doubled my efforts to improve my social skills and personality last year. I’m a more talkative person now compared to the old Elizabeth Tan,” she said.
She admitted that it had not been an easy task to get herself to be a more extroverted person, but that as an artiste, she needed to "dance with her demons".
“Actually, I don’t like performing onstage, as all eyes would be focused on me, and I have never been comfortable with that. Sometimes, the pressure does get the better of me, giving me sleepless nights.
“But as this (being the centre of attraction) is part and parcel of being an artiste, I have no choice but to learn to make it a less intimidating experience,” she said.
