KUALA LUMPUR: Multi-talented Alif Satar has just added one more specialty to his resume - producing television dramas.
The singer, actor and television host now has his own production house Cue Pro Productions and it is coming out with a drama, Rindu Cinta Zulaikha for Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM).
“I’m always eager to explore new avenues in showbiz. Having sung and acted, becoming a producer is an ‘upgrade’ of sorts in my career,” he said in a news report today.
“Rindu Cinta Zulaikha is a romantic drama, what audiences are drawn to. My business partners and I plan to produce as many interesting dramas as we can.
When asked if there were plans for him to sit on the director’s chair, Alif said no as he did not have the patience to do so.
“I don’t think I’m prepared to be a director yet,” he said.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old artiste revealed that he would be welcoming his third child in October.
He said that his wife Sha Dila Halid was now 12 weeks pregnant, and they were hoping for a boy this time around.
The couple who tied the knot in 2014 have two daughters, Alisha, 4 and Ariana, 2.
When asked about his recent showcase in Sheffield, the United Kingdom, last February, Alif said he had a great time entertaining more than 500 audiences.
“I performed 15 songs, including covers of popular hits, and what surprised me was that many of them grew up listening to my music, and sang along to Jangan Nakal and Lelaki Seperti Aku.
“I’ve been invited to return for another showcase in September, but I’ll have to turn that down since I’ve to prepare myself for baby No. 3’s arrival.”
