KUALA LUMPUR: South Korean pop sensation BTS has just come up with a teaser video of its latest single, featuring young American singer-songwriter Halsey.
The Korea Herald and Asia News Network reported today that Halsey was featured as the guest artiste in BTS’ new song Boy With Luv, the main track of its coming album Map Of The Soul: Persona.
In the 46-second video which BTS uploaded on its official homepage today, Halsey appears in a ticket box, hastily closes the box office and leaves the cinema before briefly encountering BTS at the main entrance.
The scene is then replaced by another, in which the seven BTS members appear backwards on a stage lit with a colourful screen showing a neon word “Love”.
Halsey, 24, is the latest high-profile pop star BTS has chosen to work with after the K-Pop group collaborated with American dance musician Steve Aoki for a remix version of MIC Drop and Nicki Minaj for a remix version of Idol, the main track in BTS’ album Love Yourself: Answer.
Halsey debuted in 2015 and topped the Billboard 200 album chart with her second full-length album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, in 2017.
She recently released a photo of her meeting with BTS in Seoul in August last year, while she was in the South Korean capital for a performance.
BTS is set to release Map Of The Soul: Persona on Friday, and its world premier will be broadcast live on American variety show SNL on Saturday.
