KUALA LUMPUR: Actor and director Datuk Farid Kamil, who has been weathering a dark time in his life, denies the ongoing rumours that his marriage to Diana Danielle is on the rocks.
According to a news report, the 38-year-old celebrity confessed that Diana, 28, was his backbone and had stayed with him through his many unfortunate tribulations.
During a recent launching event for the trailer of upcoming film Remp-it 2, Farid said: "Unlike what has been immensely speculated, nothing bad has happened to our relationship."
"Diana has been fully supportive from the time we met and through our marriage until now, when I am being bombarded by many troubles. She is still with me."
"She and the kids are my ultimate strength to face and overcome whatever is thrown at me in the coming days."
"I simply can't explain enough how lucky I am to have Diana," he said.
Farid added that he chose to look at his current situation from a positive angle.
"I have to admit that this is God's way of showing me something. So I will have to endure scary moments before God provides better things for me. I do belief that there's a silver lining to all that has happened," he said.
On May 15 last year, the J Revolusi star was sentenced to nine months of jail time by the Petaling Jaya Magistrate Court for committing the offence of using the marijuana type drug Tetra Hydrocannibol (THC).
After serving 35 days of his sentence at Kajang Prison, Farid was allowed to postpone the sentence until his appeal against it was completed.
But this came with the condition that the actor had to have a Malaysian bailor post RM10,000 bail and that he surrendered his passport to the court.
