#Showbiz: SuperM joins Lady Gaga's curated Covid-19 benefit concert

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular K-Pop group SuperM has joined a lenghty stellar lineup of artistes that will be performing in the One World: Together At Home global broadcast special set to air April 19.

Lady Gaga collaborated with the World Health Organization (WHO) and international advocacy organisation Global Citizen to curate the worldwide benefit concert that aims to raise money to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Koreaboo, the event would be different from a traditional concert as Lady Gaga explained that, "We want to raise the money before we go on air. When we do go on air, put your wallets away, your credit cards away, and enjoy the show."

The main event will feature celebrities such as Alicia Keys, Amy Poehler, Awkwafina, Camila Cabello, Celine Dion, Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Lopez, LL Cool J, Lupita Nyong’o, Matthew McConaughey, Oprah Winfrey, Pharrell Williams, Sam Smith, Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift, Usher and many more from around the world.

SuperM is expected to be part of the special 6-hour live stream show prior to the 2-hour special main event on April 19 at 8am.

In a recent Press statement from Universal Music Malaysia, Malaysians will be able to catch the event on various social media platforms as well as on several Astro channels.

They are National Geographic (Ch 551) at 8am (live), BeIN Sport (Ch 818) at 8am (live), Stay Home Concert (Ch 700) at 8am (live), MTV (Ch 718) at 8.10pm and Comedy Central (Ch 717) at 9pm.
