KUALA LUMPUR: It looks like fans of BoBoiBoy will have to wait a little longer to watch its third film, set for cinema release in 2022.
This was announced by local animation studio Monsta via a posting on official Instagram account yesterday.
Its CEO Nizam Abd Razak said that since next year marked Boboiboy's 10th anniversary, Monsta who is responsible for the popular BoBoiBoy animated series and movies, had been making big plans to celebrate the occasion.
"BoBoiBoy Movie 3 was originally planned for 2021, but it will now be out in 2022 instead, due to Covid-19," he said.
Meanwhile, the studio also announced that its highly-anticipated Mechamato movie, set for release this year, would now hit cinemas next year.
Mechamato is an animated show, set in Kota Hilir, a fictitious city inspired by Melaka. Among the characters in the show will include Amato, MechaBot, Pian Mara and Deep.
