KUALA LUMPUR: The rise and fall of American pop star Taylor Swift has made the 32-year-old artiste a university subject.
In a news report today, due to Swift's fascinating career journey, New York University's Clive Davis Institute has launched the first ever course on her career and cultural impact last month.
The subject, taught by Rolling Stones magazine staff writer and a huge fan Brittany Spanos, will examine Swift's career through political and cultural lenses.
The class description according to the report read: "This course proposes to deconstruct both the appeal and aversions to Taylor Swift through close readings of her music and public discourse as it relates to her own growth as an artiste and a celebrity."
The course will definitely cover her rise to fame as an innocent young country singer, to something of a man-eating pop star with her famous A-list girl gang, as well as her being hailed as a feminist hero.
