KUALA LUMPUR: Despite having been advised by doctors to urgently remove a tumour in his neck, actor Datuk Aaron Aziz has no choice but to wait until all his work commitments have been settled.
In an Instagram post yesterday, the 45-year-old artiste shared a video of him going through a computerised tomography (CT) scanner.
"After 90 minutes in this machine, the doctors said I need a surgery and I should be on medical leave for two months.
"But since I'm in the midst of settling various ongoing projects currently, I cannot drop everything just yet. So in the mean time, I have to depend a lot on prescribed drugs to kill the pain," wrote Aaron in the caption accompanying the video entry.
Aaron said that he would continue to work despite the pain he was experiencing.
"I may be smiling or laughing, but only God knows the kind of pain I have to endure," he said, adding that he was also informed the tumour was getting bigger.
For several years Aaron had been suffering from back problem, identified as cervical facet arthritis.
In the IG post, he also added two hashtags referring to schwannoma (a type of nerve tumour of the nerve sheath) and cervical spondylosis (a general term for age-related wear and tear affecting the spinal disks in the neck).
