KUALA LUMPUR: While they may have first met at an event held at Datin Seri Umie Aida's house, newlyweds celebrity preacher Da'i Syed and TV presenter Hana Ismail began their courtship when they were involved as voice talents in animation series Musa Kalimullah Alaihissalam.
Da'i Syed, whose full name is Syed Iqmal Syed Mohammad Shaiful, revealed that while working on the project together, he had the chance to get closer to Hana, 36.
"When I received the job offer from Nurflix, I was told that I'd be the voice of the young Pharaoh and one of his wives, Asiah, was voiced by Hana," shared the 27-year-old actor.
Call it kismet, at the time, he had just sent an entourage to Hana's parents' house to ask for her hand in marriage.
The couple tied the knot on Dec 3 last year.
"So imagine how thrilled I was during recording sessions when she'd refer to me as her husband.
"And now, here she is, my real-life partner," said Da'i Syed at the launch of the first animation series by Nurflix TV held at Finas Merdeka Studio Complex in Hulu Kelang earlier today.
The first episode of the animation series, based on the life of the Prophet Moses, will be made available for streaming tomorrow.
The subsequent 12 episodes will be released once a week.
