KUALA LUMPUR: Just two months after acknowledging their relationship, Jisoo of international K-Pop sensation BlackPink and hunky actor Ahn Bo-hyun have split up.
Early news of the two Korean stars calling it quits was reported by Yonhap News Agency yesterday.
According to a well-informed source in the entertainment industry, the couple had broken up due to their busy schedules which saw them becoming increasingly distant with each other.
The matter was later confirmed by Jisoo's agency, YG Entertainment, in a brief statement that read: "It's true that Jisoo and Ahn Bo-hyun have split up."
About two months ago, a report from Korean media outlet Dispatch featured pictures of Ahn meeting up at Jisoo's home in Yongsan, South Korea.
It said that the two were dating and that Ahn would be adjusting his hectic work schedule to accommodate Jisoo's equally intense work load.
The 35-year-old model-turned-actor is best known for his roles in the popular K-dramas Itaewon Class (2020) and My Name (2021).
Jisoo, 28, who is a member of one of the most successful K-Pop groups to date.
She has also branched off to become an actress having made her leading role debut in the highly successful K-drama Snowdrop (2021).
